Alright, here goes nothing. So, anyway, someone mentioned that a whopping 50,000 folks are just living it up (or down, actually) on the streets of L.A. Thanks to Brian Levy for pointing that out? And I read somewhere that, like, every year they manage to give about 20,000 of these people a roof over their heads. Meanwhile — oh, surprise! — over 60,000 more lose their roofs. It’s like pouring water into a bucket with a hole. Billions being spent, yet… yeah. Basically, the math doesn’t add up, right?
Isn’t it about time we just think outside the box? Like, seriously, how long can we keep banging our heads against the same wall? Reminds me of that saying — doing the same thing and expecting different results. Which, by the way, feels pretty spot-on here. Anyway, thanks to Charles Blankson from Menifee, who seems to get it.
And then there’s Levy again saying something about how L.A.’s bigwigs have, at last, drawn up goals. After, what, ten years? Woo-hoo, right? I mean, Shelley Wagers from L.A. also sees through that. Celebrating late step-taking sounds kinda off, if you ask me. Other places have tackled this mess with varying levels of success, learning what works and what doesn’t. It’s like, why are we still stumbling at the starting line? Isn’t it baffling, really?
Honestly, it feels like trying to admire a cake while it’s still in the oven. A decade later, with all the resources and examples out there… what took so long? But hey, good luck, L.A. You’re going to need it.
