Located in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Kohl’s Corporation wrapped up the fiscal year 2024 with a sprawling network of 1,175 stores spread across 49 states. However, the company has revealed plans to shutter 27 of its underperforming outlets as the first quarter of the 2025 calendar year kicks off. In the fiscal year 2025, Kohl’s clocked $15.4 billion in sales. Their stores primarily attract middle-income shoppers seeking quality products for both family and home needs.
By the end of FY25, Kohl’s had a diverse store portfolio, with 951 situated in strip centers, 162 as standalone stores, and 62 nestled within community and regional malls. Women’s apparel leads the sales lineup, accounting for roughly 25% of total sales, while menswear follows closely, contributing around 20%. Home products round out the core categories at 15%. Significantly, about 31% of Kohl’s sales stem from brands that are uniquely developed for the retailer, a notable jump from 25% back in FY04.
